The Disney Cruise Line VoluntEARS spent the morning sorting through thousands of donated food items and categorizing them for the Sharing Center to allow for easier distribution. The donated food is available for those in need at the Sharing Center’s Emergency Food Pantry, which provides an estimated eight tons of food monthly to residents living within Central Brevard County.
The Sharing Center is preparing to assist 250 local families with Thanksgiving Meal Baskets and serving Thanksgiving dinner at the Center for those in need.
Crew members from both the Disney Wonder and Disney Magic also volunteered at local food banks earlier this week in the port communities surrounding Galveston, TX. and Miami, Fla.
