Disney donates $50,000 for tornado relief

The Walt Disney Company announced today a $50,000 donation to the American Red Cross to aide in relief efforts following the severe storms and tornados that impacted Central Florida on Friday, February 2.

"Central Florida is our home and we are committed to assisting in the rebuilding efforts," said Meg Crofton, President, Walt Disney World Resort. "As the relief efforts progress, we will continue to help those in need through strong community partnerships throughout Central Florida."

Disney Worldwide Outreach and Walt Disney World Resort will provide ongoing support through in-kind contributions to Red Cross shelters. The donations include water, blankets, pajamas, games, DVDs and other items.
