Disney’s Zootopia Trailer Debuts and Sloths Are Running the DMV

Disney made all of our nightmares come true: Sloths are running the DMV.

Debatably the worst place on earth, the DMV eats up half your day given the long lines and lack of patience, but in Disney’s Zootopia, it somehow is even worse than in real life! In the new animated movie, Jason Bateman plays a sly-talking fox in an animal-only world.

“Humans never happened!” he explained in the teaser trailer, and now we’re getting a closer look at the world where animals are civilized and running everyday businesses.

In the film Ginnifer Goodwin plays a rabbit cop who only has 48 hours to solve a crime. Nick Wilde (Bateman) goes on the run when he’s framed for the crime he didn’t commit, but eventually both Judy Hopps (Goodwin) and Wilde become targets of a conspiracy, so they’re forced to team up and discover even natural enemies can become best friends.

Of course they face trouble when they become stuck in the DMV where she needs an employee to run a license plate. Based on the lengthy scene, it looks like she might really be in a race against time considering she spends the entire day trying to get the information she needs.

It’s annoying, anger inducing and yet channels everything we’ve all been through when we have to renew our licenses, registrations or get a new ID.
