Is Disney World No Longer Offering Complimentary Toiletries?
One of the best things about staying in a Disney resort are the toiletries they give you. Created by H20, guests would receive a number of soaps, shampoos, and body washes during the duration of their visit. I’m not going to lie, we all hoarded these things. Disney isn’t cheap, and if you go to the resorts or parks often, you know you take what you can get. Well, according to a post on the Coronado Springs Buzz Facebook group, Disney may be doing away with the little stealable toiletries.
This photo was taken in Port Orleans Riverside, a moderate hotel at Disney World. According to some people, this isn’t the first time Disney has tried this. I can see why Disney would want to try this again, but let’s be honest. People aren’t happy. They will absolutely complain. And from a practical standpoint, how well will these be cleaned? I worked in a gym for the better part of 10 years, and we had similar stuff. These things get nasty very quickly, and they will be used often.
There’s already talk of Disney World minimizing Mousekeeping’s (housekeeping) duties in the resorts by allowing guests to clean their own rooms, so…you know. That’s gross as heck, Disney. Oh, and never mind that people can just bring empty travel containers and fill them up that way, but what do I know.
