Jiji PressURAYASU, Chiba (Jiji Press) — The total number of visitors to Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea topped 700 million on Monday, Oriental Land Co., the operator of the theme parks, said the same day.

The milestone was achieved some 34 years after the opening of Tokyo Disneyland in April 1983. Tokyo DisneySea opened in September 2001.

According to Oriental Land, the two adjacent parks, located in the Chiba Prefecture city of Urayasu, near Tokyo, had attracted over 30 million visitors each year since 2013 and hit the 600-million mark in April 2014.
