Travel Agent Charged In Disney Vacation Scam

For one unlicensed Miami travel agent “It’s A Small World After All.”

For a second time in two years Nancy Alvarez, 21, has been charged with selling vacation packages and discount tickets to Disney World and then never delivering the goods. 

According to investigators Alvarez, who goes by a number of fictitious names, posted advertisements on Craigslist for Disney vacation packages and Disney World discount tickets using the business name A Fairy Tale Event.  Alvarez reportedly made $7,650 from unsuspecting customers before she was caught.

Charged with five counts of grand theft, Alvarez was booked into the Miami-Dade County Jail on a $25 thousand bond.

In 2008, Alvarez faced similar charges after she advertised discount Disney packages and reportedly scammed clients out of nearly $13 thousand. At the time Alvarez was charged with grand theft, unlicensed sale of travel and fraud.
