Disney World’s Expedition Everest Receives Award Honors
The Themed Entertainment Association (TEA) has honored the Expedition Everest – Legend of the Forbidden Mountain attraction at Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park with the prestigious 2006 THEA Award for "Outstanding Attraction."
Walt Disney Imagineers will accept the award during a gala event on March 3.
"This marks the pinnacle of an amazing achievement involving more than six years of research to the far corners of the earth, extensive design and planning, as well as massive engineering, construction and landscaping operations to achieve this immersive environment," said a proud Joe Rohde, the attraction's Executive Designer and the Creative Vice President of Walt Disney Imagineering.
The award is just the latest honor for Walt Disney Imagineering, a team of creative and technical professionals working in more than 140 diverse disciplines to create Disney Theme Parks, Resorts, attractions, cruise ships, real estate developments and regional entertainment venues worldwide.
