Guard barred from Disney return

A former Disney World security guard will not be allowed to go back to work while the court tries to decide whether Disney has the right to ban employees from keeping guns locked in their vehicles.

An Orlando judge declined to give a temporary injunction to Edwin Sotomayor. He was fired earlier this month after he brought a gun to work in his car. Disney says he refused to cooperate with investigators who wanted to know if he brought a gun to work.

He said he planned to challenge Disney's claim of an exemption by having a gun locked in his car when he reported to work.

Disney World believes it is exempt from the law and a spokeswoman says the company maintains a zero-tolerance policy for employees who bring guns onto the property.
