Halloween in August? Disney sets dates for 2017 Not-So-Scary and Christmas events

These are hot tickets, and maybe getting even hotter: Not-So-Scary will kick off in August this year. The after-hours event is expanding from 29 dates to 32 evenings this year, touching four different months.

Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party will be held on Aug. 25 and 29; Sept. 1, 7, 10, 12, 15, 17, 19, 22, 24, 26 and 29; Oct. 1, 3, 5, 6, 9, 10, 12, 13, 15, 17, 19, 20, 22, 24, 26, 27, 29 and 31; and Nov. 1.

The event again will include the “Happy HalloWishes” fireworks display, Mickey’s Boo-to-You Halloween Parade and the “Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular” stage show in front of Cinderella Castle.

Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party will be held Nov. 8, 9, 12, 14, 16, 17, 26 and 28; Dec. 1, 3, 5, 7, 8, 10, 12, 14, 15, 17, 19, 21 and 22. That’s 21 dates, the same as in 2016.

Disney says that Very Merry will feature Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade, “Holiday Wishes” fireworks, “A Frozen Holiday Wish” and “Mickey’s Most Merriest Celebration.”

Tickets that are separate from regular admission to the theme parks. Disney is not yet selling those tickets and has not announced their prices.
